Rafael Branco Xavier

Rafael Branco Xavier is a lawyer and a LL.M. student in Civil Law at the University of São Paulo's Law School (Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo - USP). He has been part of the firm since 2010, undertaking research related to legal opinions and monitoring arbitration proceedings. He graduated in Law cum laude from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul Law School (Faculdade de Direito Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, 2013). 

Rafael contributed directly in editing Professor Dr.habil Judith Martins-Costa’s legal publications, including: Narração e Normatividade: Ensaios de Direito e Literatura (Editora GZ, 2013), Modelos de Direito Privado (Marcial Pons, 2014); Estudos de Direito Privado e Processo Civil – Homenagem a Clóvis do Couto e Silva (Revista dos Tribunais, 2014) and A Boa-Fé no Direito Privado criteria for its application (Marcial Pons, 2015, Saraiva, 2018).

Rafael is currently a member of the Culturalistic Studies Institute (“Instituto de Estudos Culturalistas” – IEC), the Brazilian Arbitration Student’s Association (“Associação Brasileira dos Estudantes de Arbitragem” – ABEARB), Private Law Institute ("Instituto de Direito Privado" - IDP), Brazilian Institute of Civil Law ("Instituto Brasileiro de Direito Civil" - IBDCivil), and the Brazillian Committee of Arbitration ("Comitê Brasileiro de Arbitragem" - CBAr").
